Deerfield HOA Meeting Minutes

June 8, 2005

Treasurers Report- 2 houses will have liens imposed

1house owes dues from 2002 1 house owes dues from 2003. Two checks for dues came in this week. Charlene turned the books over to Cathy M. of On Call Accounting. Charlene is keeping the checkbook.

 

Play Structure Status- Status pending, Anina will follow up with Pete Butkus.

 

Soccer field – Status Pending, waiting to get someone with soccer field experience to look at it. Hope will contact the Issaquah Parks and Recreation to see who does the maintenance for their soccer fields.

 

Common Area Maintenance – Anina is working with Lance to get the areas cleaned up. Brad Forslund has offered to clean up and maintain the trail heads on 19th (next to his house and across 19th) for a fee of minimum wage plus dump expenses. He will outline his offer and email the board for approval. Still waiting to see what kind of bid Lance gives the board.

 

Retention Pond off of NE 19th – Kent will find out from the City of Sammamish when they will be coming around to clean it up. He will report back at next meeting. Status Pending as Kent was not at this meeting.

 

Entrance – Light replacement – Anina needs to provide the total bid from Bel-Red for approval previously authorized for 4,500.00 in repairs.

Pipeline – Offer has been presented to the HOA board, has been reviewed by the Land Use Attorney. Hope will contact an arborist (Elizabeth Walker) to evaluate the value of the said trees. Board will read over documentation presented and submit a counter offer at a later date.

 

Recommendations – Homeowner suggested ways to get information out to other homeowners: Flyers in the boxes with bullets/brief information on one side and news letter on the other.

 

Website recommendations – update it further (content permitting) add a section for approved roof types and colors, as well as approved color choices. Also possible Board Member Bio’s and photos. Add homeowner testimonials of contractors/companies they have used with the stipulation that they are by no means backed by the HOA.

 

ACC Approval – In Kent and Terry’s absence verbal approval by the board was granted for the following:

 

Roof approval for Donnahoo’s @ 1909 234th Ct NE

Exterior Paint approval for Matlean’s @ 1906 235th Ct NE
